Affidavit of Publication Wyalusing Borough Planning Committee: Please take notice that the Wyalusing Borough Planning Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 at 6 p.m. will hold a public hearing on the proposed Wyalusing Borough Council Plan to accept public comments and vote to forward the plan to Borough Council, said meeting shall be held at the Wyalusing Borough 50 Senate Street, Box 131, Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, 18853. Any person with a disability requiring a special accomodation to attend said meeting should nofity the Borough Secretary at 570-746-1707 as early as possible but not later than three (3) working days prior to the meeting. There will be a meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Wyalusing Area School District on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Administration Office, 42 Main St., Wyalusing, PA. Kathy Trowbridge, Board Secretary.

The Terry Township Supervisors will hold their monthly meetings at 7 p.m. at the Terry Township Municipal Building located at 1876 Rienze Rd., Wyalusing, PA, 18853 on the following dates in 2017: Feb. 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, Aug. 7, Sept. 11, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4. The Braintrim Township Supervisors held the reorganizational meeting at the Skinners Eddy UMC at 7 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2017. Vice-Chair Brad Fassett opened the meeting, calling for nominations for Chairman. Frank Holdren was elected Chairman, Brad Fassett, Vice-Chairman. David Heller is the Third Supervisor. The following were appointed: David Heller, Roadmaster; Bonnie Jayne, Secretary-Treasurer; Solicitor, Anthony Paul Litwin; SEO, Carlton Shupp; Flood Plain Administrator, Gary Evans; Sewer Authority Rep., Ann Marie Ruane; Vacancy Board Chair, Ralph Jayne; Open Records, Bonnie Jayne; Depository, Community Bank. The Township requires building and sewer permits, these may be obtained by calling 570-869-1938, Bonnie Jayne. The tax base is 1.6 mills for the Township and .4 mills for the Goodwill Fire Company. The Secretary may be reached by calling the above number Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Meetings are held the first Monday of the month, with the exception of September, which then will be held the following Tuesday at the Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend these meetings. If a meeting needs to be changed, a notice will be in this newspaper or, if short notice, The Daily Review.

The Tuscarora Township Supervisors will hold their 2017 monthly meetings at the township building at 8 p.m. The meetings will be on the following dates. Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 22, April 27 (note change of date), May 24, June 28, July 26, Aug. 23 (Meeting at Edinger Hill School House), Sept. 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 22 and Dec. 27. The Tuscarora Township Supervisors held their reorganization meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. at the home of the secretary. Carl Yurgatis was appointed Chairman of the Board and Emil Cogswell was appointed Vice Chairman. Roadmaster will be Patrick Beebe. Susan Berkely was appointed Secretary-Treasurer. The Supervisors will hold their regular monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Township Building. Meeting time is 8 p.m. The Supervisors are using the services of Chad Salsman for their solicitor. The Supervisors will continue banking with Community Bank. Sandra Voda will continue to serve as Tax Collector. There was no increase in the tax rate this year. It remains at 3.092 mils with .5 mil fire tax. The Tuscarora Township Auditors met Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the township building for their reorganization meeting. Windham Township, Wyoming County Board of Supervisors held their 2017 Reorganization Meeting on Jan. 3, 2017 in the Municipal Office Building, 149 Palen St., Mehoopany, PA. 18629. Officers for year 2017: Chair - Michael Stabinsky; Vice Chair & Roadmaster - Jason VanDeMark; Supervisor & Road Foreman - Stephen H. Grow, Jr.; Secretary Treasurers - Kenneth Johnson, Gloria Milliron; Sewage Enforcement Officers - John Watts, Kenneth Laurie; Solicitor - Atty. Paul Litwin. Levied taxes - 2.45 mills for general purpose and 1 mill for fire protection tax. There is no levied twp. per capita tax. 2017 Budget was adopted on Dec. 22, 2016 and may be inspected by contacting Treasurer Johnson, 570-833-4622. Meetings will be held the second and fourth Thursday of each month except November, which will be the second Thursday and the fourth Wednesday. Please contact Tunkhannock State Police Barracks if you need assistance. FWM Vol. Fire Co. and Goodwill Vol. Fire Co. will handle calls, FWM Emergency Squad and Meshoppen Ambulance will handle calls.
