At the request of PA DEP, Wyalusing Township is updating their Sewage Facilities Plan for the areas surrounding Wyalusing Borough, in the corridor along S.R. 706 to Camptown and along S.R. 6 to Browntown. For this update, the Township has been in discussion with the Wyalusing Municipal Authority about expanding the public sewer into these areas. Currently this is only a plan and there is no time table for implementation. DEP requires testing of water and sewer for 25% of the residents that are in the projected area; therefore a representative of the Bradford County Sanitation Committee, accompanied by Josef Reese of Milnes Engineering, Inc., may come to your home and ask your permission to check your sewage disposal system and collect a water sample. You will not be required to pay for this testing and they are not looking for malfunctioning systems. The Township is funding this update plan with money received through the Impact Fees assessed to the gas companies and therefore there is no cost to our taxpayers. If you have questions, please contact one of the Supervisors: Arthur Allyn at 570-721-1818, Marvin Meteer at 607-743-4801 or Lanny Stethers at 570-721-0502. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance in this effort.
