Laura Loyack Laura Loyack Laura Anderson Loyack, 72, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, with her loving family at her side.

Born on July 20, 1939 at home in Terry Twp., she was the daughter of the late Raymond “Smokey” and Dorothy Benjamin Anderson. She graduated from the Wyalusing High School in the class of 1957. She married Robert Loyack, Sr. of Wyalusing on April 18, 1959. Bob predeceased her on Dec. 4, 1999. She worked as a receptionist at Ottavani’s Optometrist Office for 34 years, retiring in 1999. Laura was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church, Wyalusing.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as playing softball, hunting and bowling where she was the Wyalusing Women’s Bowling League secretary for years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #534.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert A., Jr. (Chanda) Loyack of Wyalusing; grandchildren, Andrew (Elizabeth) Loyack of Mechanicsburg, Richard Loyack and fianceƩ, Heather Clarke of Wyalusing and Bobbi Jo Loyack and Reggie Davis of Wyalusing; brother, George Anderson and Norma Lee Farrell of Wyalusing; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha (Arthur) Cole of Towanda, Jan (Russell) Williams of Wyalusing, Vanessa (Rick) Shaffer of Wyalusing; brother-in-law, Gerald (Elaine) Loyack of Liverpool, NH; sisters-inlaw, Mary Margaret Capwell of Savannah, GA, Evelyn Nichols of Sayre and Arlene (Ronald) Miller of Rochester, NY; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, with the Rev. Penney M. Rahm presiding.

Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery

Friends called at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.

The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Bradford Unit, 1948 E. 3rd St., Williamsport, PA 17701-3945.
