A benefit will be held for Justin Owen, who is recovering from an accident when a faulty firework blew up in his face causing severe damage to his left eye in Jan. 2012. He will be making many trips to a Rochester hospital throughout his recovery process. A spaghetti dinner will be held on Feb. 26 at the Laceyville Fire Hall from noon to 8 p.m. There will also be a bake sale, basket raffle and Chinese Auction.

The monthly Sunday Vesper Service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, corner of Church and Chestnut Streets, Montrose. A simple meal will be served in the Parish House following the ecumenical services. Everyone welcome.

Wyalusing Presbyterian Church is holding Friend’s Day this upcoming weekend, Feb. 11 and 12. They will be roller skating at Bonin’s from 11-1 on Saturday where there will be pizza and other snacks available. Everyone will head to the church for a movie and snacks at 5 p.m. that evening. The Relay for Life, Susquehanna County is hosting a luncheon to honor cancer survivors on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center in Elk Lake. North Rome Christian School will be hosting a Kindergarten Preview Day on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 9:00 - 11:00.
