When I turn 65 in a couple

When I turn 65 in a couple years I will be forced to go on Medicare. I am retired now and am fully capable of buying my own health insurance and will be able to do so after my 65th birthday. But, as far as I have been able to discover, no private insurer will take my money. After 65 taking government money is required. I assume those over 65 om Medicare are counted among the 67.3 million Americans getting government assistance, but we have no choice.
