Benefits

The 17th Annual Motorcycle Rally to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bradford County will be held on Sunday, June 3. The ride is a Dice Run and will start at Sherwood Groves in Wysox. Registration will be from 9 to 10 a.m. The rider with the best hand will win a prize package to the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. The prize is sponsored by Wiggle 100 and 95.3 The Bridge. Church

The Meshoppen Methodist Church will sponsor a concert of music and praise with Good News Quartet on Friday, May 4, 7 p.m. You will be blessed as you listen to the sweet harmonies of Good News, Al and Laurie Magill, Russ Sears and Mark Berkey.

Good Friday Cross Walk on Friday, April 6, hosted by the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church. This family-oriented event will include brief scripture readings at each state as people walk downtown Wyalusing. Meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. All welcome. Factoryville United Methodist Church Mission and Outreach will host a free soup and bread dinner on April 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the church on College Ave., Factoryville. An open door supper featuring homemade soups and breads. Free to public and everyone is welcome.

Eager to find time for your latest craft interests? Come to the Stevensville Community Hall one Wednesday a month this spring—March 28, April 25 and May 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come for the entire time or just a couple of hours. Free Bridge lessons: Lessons for this interesting and challenging game are being offered by the Friends of the Towanda Public Library, taught by Jeffrey Dann, a longtime bridge instructor. He will teach beginners and those who want to improve their game, introductory concepts, the language of bidding, scoring, guidelines for play, hand valuation and the Golden Rules of Bridge. Lessons begin Tuesday evening, March 27th from 6:30 to 8:00 and will continue every Tuesday through April 24th. Lessons are free of charge but registration is required. The library is located at 104 Main St. Towanda Public Library is a Bradford County United Way Agency.

Easter Events

Easter Egg Hunt - Black Walnut American Legion Post 510 on March 31 at 1 p.m. for ages one to 12 and an adult hunt. Come and join in for prizes, food and fun. Snow date, April 7.

The New Albany Area Children’s Fund will be hosting their annual Easter egg hunt at the New Albany Park on April 7 at 12 p.m. All area children up to grade 6 are invited to come hunt for eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny.

Annual Breakfast with Easter Bunny - Saturday, April 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Wyalusing United Methodist Church. Menu: pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice, milk and coffee. Bring the kids and your camera.

Redeemed, a Southern Gospel group from Hughesville will be in concert at Sullivan Terrace, Dushore on Sunday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. Please plan to attend and enjoy a time of good gospel music.

Northeast Bradford Kindergarten Registration will be held on Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday, March 28 at the Northeast Bradford Elementary School for children who will be age five on or before Sept. 1, 2012. The Camptown Cemetery Association would like all lot owners of the cemetery to please remove all winter decorations from the cemetery.

The American Cancer Society Daffodil Days campaign will take place from March 22 through 24. Direct sales at Connie’s Market in Wyalusing, Hurley’s Market in Towanda and Kmart in Bradford Towne Centre in Wysox. Celebrating Daffodil Days is much more than enjoying beautiful flowers, it is about sharing hope for a world free of cancer. R12p

Wyalusing Kindergarten Registration will be held April 23 to 27. Please remember that children will be permitted to register for kindergarten if they will be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2012. This policy is strictly followed. The Valley YHEC (Youth Hunter Education Challenge, Inc.) is signing up for the new season on March 24 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ages from 10 to 18 years.
