Tunkhannock Salon Offers ‘Celebrate Mom’ Makeovers
Shabby Shek’s “Celebrate Mom” makeover event will offer Northeast PA women a chance to refresh their look and life. On Sunday, April 29, Shabby Shek Salon and Boutique in Tunkhannock will offer a sampling of their services including hairstyling, skin care, nail care, and makeup.
Christine Robinson, owner of Shabby Shek, will also introduce the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner, which is known as the world’s most accurate and only immediate, non-invasive method of measuring carotenoid antioxidants in human tissue.
Each woman will be treated to a hair consultation with blowout style, a galvanic facial, and makeup refresher, as well as a gel manicure. After the makeover is complete, a professional photographer will provide a sitting, and each of the ladies attending will have an updated photo to share with family and friends.
Author Terri Ladner-Martin will be on hand during the event to sign copies of her new book “Makeup and More.”
Shabby Shek’s skin care professional, Rebecca Veety, a Mederi Clinicals specialist will also be present.
Shabby Shek’s “Celebrate Mom” makeover event is set to help honor Mom this Mother’s Day and geared to help women of all ages rediscover their perfect look. Mothers, sisters, and friends are all invited to make reservations. To schedule an appointment, women may call 570-836-9005. A deposit is required at the time of scheduling.
During the April 29 event, there will also be an opportunity to try Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner to ascertain an antioxidant level. Virtually all disease is caused or exacerbated by “free radicals,” and it is said that only antioxidants can protect DNA from such an attack. Dr. Oz has called this system “the ultimate, nutritional lie detector.” Knowing one’s antioxidant level can be critical to overall health.
