A surprise 60th birthday party was held for Florence Weed of Sugar Run on April 7. The event was coordinated by her children, Jessica and Karla Diaz of Harrisburg, Noel and Kristi Weed of West Pittston, and Stacy Nystrand of Laceyville. Her grandchildren, Colin Nystrand of Laceyville and Kalista and Jesiah Weed of West Pittston were also present, as was her husband, Larry Weed.
