Vincent “Bill” W. Labzentis, 90, of Jessup Twp., PA, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Scranton. Born Jan. 10, 1922 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Peter C. and Anna M. (Yucus) Labzentis. His wife, Jean D. (Palmer) Labzentis, predeceased him in 2005.
Bill worked as a dairy farmer for many years, followed by a second career at IBM in Endicott, NY. He retired from IBM in 1984 and enjoyed woodworking and taking care of a small farm and orchard during his retirement years.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Meadowview Senior Living Center, Montrose, and Golden Living Center, Scranton, for the care given during his stays.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, David V. Labzentis of Danielson, CT, Michael R. Labzentis of Montrose, Daniel and Patricia Labzentis of Apalachin, NY; granddaughter and her spouse, Amy and Kyle Vitale of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Wilma Palmer of Montrose and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by sisters, Anna Bolles, Charlotte Bendock and Helen Yurgatis and a brother-in-law, Glen Palmer.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28 at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, with visitation from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home Saturday.
