Wyalusing Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc. will have sign-ups on Friday, May 18 from 6 to 9 with a parent informational session starting at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Sign-ups will also be held Saturday, May 19 from 8 to 12 in the high school cafeteria. You will be able to sign up online at wyalusingyouth.org after May 19. You will need to provide the following: birth certificate (if not provided last year) and a current picture. You will need to fill out a registration form, medical treatment authorization, code of conduct, release of liability, the bylaws and a photo release and waiver. The fees are as follows: $85/football player (includes a jersey with name and number you get to keep); $55/cheerleader and $25/flag football player. Payment is due at registration and can be accepted via cash, check, Pay- Pal or credit card.
The New Albany Children’s Fund is sponsoring the Annual Charlie Wiles Fishing Derby on May 26, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Behrend-Wiles pond in New Albany. Community youngsters from four to 13 are invited to come out with their fishing poles, tackle boxes and bait. In addition to free fishing, the day will feature food and beverage, prize drawings and fun contests including a casting contest.
