Lynda Williams

 Lynda Jeanne Williams, 62, of Laceyville, PA found eternal rest Monday evening, May 14, 2012 after a courageous battle with breast cancer at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock. She was born the daughter of the late Cecil and Christine Bomboy Jones in Meshoppen on Aug. 12, 1949. She was a 1967 graduate of Elk Lake High School.

Her tireless work ethic began at Tyler Memorial Hospital and continued as office manager for Dr. Sherwood and Dr. McIntyre at their Tunkhannock office. Her compassionate and caring personality, along with her boundless energy and dedication set everyone at ease. After leaving the medical field, her organizational skills and vibrant personality led her to a new professional home as a member of the WEMCO, Inc. family in Laceyville.

Never meeting a stranger, Lynda was always up for an adventure. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and Davey, her Chocolate Lab. You can’t, you won’t, you shouldn’t were never an option.

Surviving are daughters, Laura Lyn and husband, Matthew Dennis of Altoona, FL, Megan Elizabeth and husband, Frank Lincoln of Hop Bottom; a son, Jeremy Jones Williams and his fiancée, Lindsey Escandel of Auburn Center; stepsons, Loren Williams of Nicholson and Greg Williams of Kingsley; her love, John Mowry of Laceyville and his children, Kelly, Jonathan, Tara and Marissa; grandchildren, Brandy, Dillan, Katie, Mason, Emily, Sydney, Griffin, Kameron, and Jackson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean and Elaine Jones of Harrisburg, Jim and Sharon Jones of Lawton, Kevin and Perry Jones of Black Walnut, sister, Dawn and her husband, Ralph Sharon, of Friendsville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 18 with Pastor Pat Newhart officiating, at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at the funeral home. Interment will be at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Irish Hill.
