Russell E. Gerould, 57, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Born on April 29, 1955 in Troy, he was a son of the late Carroll and Janet (Kingsley) Gerould. He was first employed at America Bridgeworks in Elmira, NY and after leaving there was employed until recently by Taylor Trucking in Wyalusing as a dispatcher. He attended Mount Pisgah Wesleyan Church, was a life member of the NRA and was passionate about hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his brother, Glenn Gerould of Columbia Cross Roads, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister,
Ann Marie Finnerty.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 1093 West Main Street, Troy. The funeral service to honor Russell’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25 at the funeral home with Rev. Lynn Ensign and Pastor Patrick Kelly officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of Russell’s family in Union Cemetery in East Smithfield.
