Edward M. Kelley, 72, of Lawton, PA, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 14, 2012, after an extended illness. He was born in Rush Twp., to the late Roy M. and Frances (Ham) Kelley. His wife of 49-1/2 years, Louise (Ellis) Kelley survives.
Also surviving are his two daughters and son-in-law, Chris and David Smiley, Terrytown, Susan Kelley, Lawton; two sons and significant other, Shane Kelley, East Rush, Wade Kelley and Heather Brewer, Lawton, six grandchildren, Sammi and Justin Smiley, Josh and Mariah Kelley, Katlyn Brewer and Peyton Kelley; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Pat Kelley, Clapper Hill, Chancey and Cassie Kelley, Elk Lake, Dale and Tammy Kelley, Clapper Hill, Chuck Kelley, East Rush; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Gin and Doug Clapper, Clapper Hill, Linda and Mark White, South Auburn, Cheryl and Jim Newhart, Lawton, Kathy and Jim Cantone, Montrose, Debbie Dymond and Gregg Johnson, Auburn Center; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ed was a wonderful man, a caring husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. His family and friends knew him to be a man of strength who was always there whenever he was needed. His quick wit and sense of humor carried him through and he lived each day. Everyone he loved was with him at the end, sharing their love and their memories, and he was at peace.
