James B. Pedrick, 72, of Nicholson, PA, died Saturday afternoon, June 16, 2012 at the Commonwealth Home Health & Hospice Unit of Regional Hospital of Scranton after a year-long battle with lung cancer.
Born in Nicholson on March 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Carlton and Iva Pedrick of Nicholson. James married the love of his life, Sandra L. Pedrick and they were married for more than 32 years. After high school, he worked at Procter & Gamble for over 21 years, he also was a State Constable. He and his wife owned and operated a security business. He was a life-long member of the Wyoming County Fire Police where he volunteered for 20 years.
James spent many days hunting, fishing and having fun.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James Carl Pedrick, of Nicholson; daughter, Kathy Corey of Henrietta, TX and stepsons Michael, Martin, and Marvin Goodwin, Jr. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren of Pennsylvania and Texas.
Funeral services were held at the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, on Tuesday, June 19 at noon with Pastor Paul Fields of the Factoryville Baptist Church officiating. Friends paid their respects from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment was at the Nicholson Cemetery.
