Lillian M. Dixon, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012 at the Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA. For the last few years she was a resident of The Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock.
Born on Aug. 28, 1929 in Sayre, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Isabelle M. Larrabee Dixon.
Lillian lived most of her life in Meshoppen and Auburn Center areas. She was a member of the Meshoppen Biblical Baptist Church and attended faithfully until the passing of her mother. She loved reading the Bible as well as doing puzzles.
Lillian is survived by her sisters, Janice Woodruff of Wyalusing, Myrna Kinney of Herrickville and Nancy Sarnosky of Meshoppen, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beva Preston (1980).
A memorial graveside service will be held on Monday afternoon, June 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the South Auburn Cemetery with Rev. Gary Myers of the Meshoppen Biblical Baptist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial donations may do so in Lillian’s name to the Meshoppen Biblical Baptist Church, 4017 Briar Ridge Road, Meshoppen, PA 18630.
