Leroy G. Robinson, 58, of (Evergreen), New Albany, PA passed away as the result of a farming accident on Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012 at the family farm. Born on June 25, 1954 in Sayre, he was a son of George and Lucille Kobbe Robinson. He worked their family farm after school and has worked as a truck driver for Formula One Feeds for the last 25 years, and continued to work the farm, one of his greatest loves.
Roy married the former Debra Tourscher on June 21, 1980 and celebrated 32 years of marriage. The family and the farming were his greatest joys in life; he loved being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife Debra at home; three children, John Robinson of New Albany, Jill and Charlie Deubler of Mehoopany and Jacob “Jake” Robinson of Evergreen: two brothers, David and Terry Larrabee and Ray and Ann Robinson; six grandchildren, Logan, Taylor, Mikie Compton: Kaylee, Lela, an unborn granddaughter and Colton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Robinson.
A viewing was held on Sunday, July 8 in the Russell P. McHenry Funeral Home, 119 Carpenter St., Dushore, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 9 at the Evergreen Christian Church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Dodd and Pastor Harold Carr of the Moxie Church presiding. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery.
