Hot Weather Makes Tempers Flare at Prison
With temperatures soaring above 90 degrees on numerous occasions from June into early July, corrections officers (CO) at the Bradford County Correctional Facility (BCCF) faced an increase in fighting. There is no air conditioning at the jail, and altercations between inmates accounted for five or six “extraordinary occurrences,” according to BCCF warden Don Stewart.
