Paul Edward Mosier, 77, of 39 Newton Lane, Wyalusing, PA, Terry Township, passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 14, 2012 at the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington Twp. Born in Terry Township on Nov. 12, 1934, he was the son of George S. Mosier, Sr. and Louise Johnson Mosier. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army.
In early years, Paul was employed by Valley Cities Gas Service, the Martin Oil Company and by Stroud’s Supply. He later operated his own plumbing and heating business in the area for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of Wyalusing American Legion Post No. 534, Beirne-Webster VFW Post No. 1568, Towanda, AM Vets Post No. 21, Wysox and the Monroeton Rod & Gun Club.
Mr. Mosier enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, NASCAR racing and was a fan of Tony Stewart.
Surviving are his children, Patty Ann (Malcolm) Wech of Stevensville, Randy (Shirley) Mosier of Terrytown and Judy (Grayson) Brotzman of Athens; grandchildren, Scott (Tara) Wech, Dennis (Lori) Wech, Timothy (Erin) Mosier, Kendra (Jason) Dixon, Patty (Scott) Benjamin, Michael (Tracy) Dolan, Richard Dolan and Breana Brotzman; several great-grandchildren; his siblings, Robert (Geraldine) Mosier of Towanda, Norris (Judy) Mosier of Sugar Run, Vera Mosier of Towanda, Larry (Jean) Mosier of Terrytown, Jack (Penny) Mosier of Toledo, OH, Anita (Robert) Swetter of Springville, Mary Anne Mosier of Wyalusing, Thelma (Vern) Harvey of Nicholson, Onalee (Jim) Robinson of Meshoppen, Alice (Phil) Rivera of Mechanicsburg; a sister-inlaw, Ann Mosier of Towanda; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his companion and caregiver, Grace Dunfee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Hila Patricia Bump Mosier on Aug. 25, 2004; brothers, John A. Mosier and George S. Mosier, Jr. and a nephew, John Richard Mosier.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, with Pastor Dennis Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Rome Cemetery with Towanda American Legion Post No. 42 according full military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
