Born on March 4, 1938 in Meshoppen, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Evelyn Purdy Tyler.
Growing up near Meshoppen, she was a graduate of the Meshoppen High School Class of 1956. Nancy was employed at Penn’s Best in Meshoppen, retiring in 1996 as their Comptroller in the Accounting Department after working there for 16 years.
Mrs. Crisman was a member of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church and the Retta United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Retta Birthday Club.
Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Crisman, whom she married on Sept. 15, 1956; her daughter, Tammy Perry of Tunkhannock; her twin daughters, Teresa Hennessy of South Waverly and Lisa Tesluk of Tunkhannock; her grandsons, Paul Tesluk and Michael J. Tesluk, both of Tunkhannock, Adam Hennessy of South Waverly and Ryan Perry of Tunkhannock; brothers, Richard Tyler of North Carolina and Charlie Tyler of Wyalusing; sistersin law, Nancy Tyler of Meshoppen, Elaine Fuller and her husband, William of Vestal, NY, and Mary Jane Crisman of Randor, PA as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Isabelle Condor and her brothers, Carlton Tyler, Lester Tyler, Levi Tyler and Cyrus Tyler.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Meshoppen, with Rev. Tom Mott of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed at the Jersey Hill Cemetery. Family and friends called at the funeral home on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m.
