The Pickles, a team of Elk Lake-area youngsters, weren’t a threat to win last Saturday’s North Branch Triathlon, but they seemed to enjoy the challenge. Matt Voda, Kale Decker and Shyanne Bennett, all 11, and Miranda Decker, 13, soldiered back to the finish line in 3:11:46, past the race curfew. But they can say they finished.
