Matt Carl, curator at Bradford County Historical Society will be speaker at the annual French Azilum dinner meeting on Oct. 25 at the Towanda Gun Club. For more information, call 570-265-3376.

On Oct. 13 a Spaghetti dinner will be held at the Wyalusing Fire Hall from 3 - 7 p.m. The event ‘Prayers for Abbi’ is being held to help the Chris Brown Family with daughter Abbi’s medical expenses. Tickets are on sale at Peoples State Bank, $5 adults; $3 kids.

The Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church will sponsor a “free” senior luncheon on Oct. 9 at noon. The menu is soup, sandwich, dessert and beverage. This luncheon is open to all seniors in the area. Good entertainment is always provided. Please call either Teresa Brewer at 570-869-1153 or Bonnie Jayne at 869-1938 to make a reservation. We don’t want anyone to go away hungry.

Annual Roast Beef Dinner, with famous corn relish at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rt. 6W, Tunkhannock on Saturday, Oct. 6, 4 to 7 p.m. Takeouts, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Donation: Adults, $8.50; under 12, $4; preschool, free.

Turkey Supper on Saturday, Oct. 6, 4 to 6 p.m. at Rome Methodist Hall. Donations: Adults, $8; children under 12, $4; preschool, free. Benefit: Rome UMC.

Stag Ham and Bean Dinner at Laceyville’s Goodwill Fire Co. on Oct. 18 from 6 p.m. until ? Benefit Goodwill Fire Co. R39- 4c/S40-3c

A Ham dinner will be held on Sat., Oct. 13, 4:30 to 6 p.m., in the New Albany Social Hall sponsored by the New Albany United Methodist Church. Dinner includes large salad and dessert bars. A bake sale will be held to benefit the UM Scholarship Fund.

They’re back: Free soup suppers at Hollenback United Methodist Church on Oct. 10, Nov. 14, Dec. 12. Everyone welcome. Bible study, 4:30; supper, 5 p.m.

The Wysox Sewing will hold their monthly dinner at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Ferguson Hall of the Wysox Presbyterian Church, RT 187N, Wysox, PA. Roast beef will be featured on the menu with mashed potatoes, gravy, Cole slaw, assorted vegetables, gelatin salads and a delicious variety of homemade pies. Everyone is welcome. Forkston United Methodist Women will serve the annual (all you can eat) Turkey Dinner at the Forkston Grange Hall on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Donations: ages 12 and up, $9; 6 to 12, $4; under 6, free. Bake sale and bazaar upstairs, featuring homemade fudge, breads, cookies, etc.
