Halloween Events

Meshoppen Halloween Parade on Friday, Oct. 26 on Canal St. at 7 p.m. Registration next to Peoples Bank starting at 6. Also pumpkin carving contest. In case of rain, it will be moved to ball park.

Laceyville Trick or Treat will be held on Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Leave your porch light on.

Wyalusing Borough’s official trick or treat day will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. If you want visitors, please leave porch light on.

Sullivan Terrace, Dushore will hold their second Trunk or Treat in their parking lot on Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. Dress up the trunk of your vehicle for area children to receive goodies. Any questions, call Bonnie at 570-928-8997, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Sullivan Terrace Outreach Team.

There will be a Halloween party at the Hollenback U.M. Church Hall on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. Anyone 13 and under welcome. Please come in costume.

Terrytown trick-or-treat will be held on Tuesday night, Oct. 30 in the town. Leave your porch light on if you wish to have little visitors.

Wyalusing Halloween Lion/Lioness Party on Sunday, Oct. 28 at Wyalusing Fire Hall, 12:30 to 2 p.m. Judging of costumes promptly at 1:15 p.m. Games, prizes, cider and doughnuts. Residents of Wyalusing School District only.

Trick-or-Treating in the Camptown area will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28. Homes wishing to participate will have their outdoor lights on.

The Towanda Fire Department’s annual Halloween Parade will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27. Line-up at 6 p.m. and start time at 7 on Main Street, Towanda. Anyone wanting to register a float can call 570-265-8911. All dignitaries, area fire and EMS personnel are invited. ATV’s, motorcycles and bicycles are to be with a float or group. Kids and costumed marchers need not be pre-registered. As always, throwing candy from floats, cars and trucks is prohibited.

Jenningsville will have Trick or Treat night on Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. Leave porch lights on.

A Halloween party will be held at the Spring Hill Community Hall on Oct. 27. The Grand March will be held at 8 p.m.

The Wyalusing PTO will be holding a Halloween party on Friday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. This will be for grades K to 6. A pumpkin-carving contest will also be held. If you want to participate, you are asked to carve your pumpkins at home and bring it with you to the party.

The Stevensville Community Halloween party, set for this Friday, Oct. 26, 7 to 9 p.m. will feature the parade of the goblins with costume-judging, Mad Scientist’s laboratory, scary stories, games, pumpkin painting and prizes and treats with mulled cider.

There will be a Halloween party at the South Auburn Grange on Oct. 26, starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be games, crafts and candy for the children. Parents, please bring a bag of candy to share.

Halloween Party, Saturday, Oct. 27, 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Wyalusing Legion. $8/person; $15/couple. Includes food, beer, soda, water. Costumes not required, but encouraged. For information, call 570-721-3103. R43p

Community Alliance Church will hold a Trunk or Treat on the church grounds on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Parents are invited to accompany their children and join in the fun. The church is located five miles south of Towanda on Rt. 220. Any questions, call Deb at 570-265-3246.
