Every business and every

Every business and every success rests on entrepreneurship, the only thing that is unique to that business. The rest of that success rests on a stable infrastructure like roads, internet, sewers, water supply, police, laws created to protect free trade, or protect against monopoly, pollution and so much more. We take it for granted because we have never NOT had that so we tend to take ALL the credit for a business success that is also owed in part to the American Way. There are just as many smart entrepreneurs in Haiti or Greece, the difference is that those countries didn't build an infrastructure that is stable and conducive to entrepreneurship so there are fewer business successes there.

He was referring to the roads

He was referring to the roads and bridges leading to/from any business, not the business itself. I think many people like to believe he meant otherwise for partisan reasons. It enables the hate and fear-mongering which (brilliantly) is used as a cudgel on the electorate, and what is the result? Millions of people voting against their own interests.
