Tunkhannock Man Wanted for Assault
State police at Tunkhannock are looking for John Miller, 33, Tunkhannock, who reportedly assaulted a Tunkhannock area woman at a residence on Margaret Hollow Road in Eaton Township at about 11:40 a.m. on Monday. Miller is assumed to be armed and dangerous.
According to the police information release, Miller and the victim, also 33 with ties to the state of Washington, were engaged in a verbal argument that became physical when Miller started “spot tasing” the woman with a taser. She reportedly got ahold of a phone and was calling for help, when Miller allegedly took the phone from her and punched her several times, knocking her to the ground and kicking her in the head.
The victim was able to escape to the home of a neighbor, who called police. Miller reportedly fled the scene in a 2002 Chevy Impala with Pennsylvania plates bearing DLV-1697, while the victim was transported to Tyler Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious eye injuries.
Miller is reported to have mental health issues and is currently not medicated. He is also believed to be armed with a 9-mm Glock handgun.
