Sue was a dedicated teacher in the Wyalusing Area School District, having taught second grade for thirty-six years. During this time it is safe to say that she touched many hundreds of lives. She was always one of the first to arrive each school day and the last to leave. Sue was very involved in her community having participated in many charity events such as Relay for Life and the Outstanding Young Women program. In her spare time she enjoyed line dancing with friends, flower gardening and exercising. She had participated in several 5K races. During her brief retirement she put in a swimming pool, which she cared for so many family and friends could come and enjoy.

Sue was diagnosed with cancer in early 2012. She put up a courageous and dignified battle, trying to maintain as much normalcy as possible despite the treatments. She spent a large amount of time with her daughter and the new grandbabies in Allentown, only recently coming back to her home in Wilmot. It was from there that she passed on to a better place.
