The Wyalusing Methodist Church will be holding an “Afternoon of Inspiration Concert” to benefit the Volunteers in Mission Team on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. There will be a silent auction and homemade refreshments. The February Second Sunday Vesper Service will be held on Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, corner of Church and Chestnut Streets, Montrose. A simple supper will be served in the Parish House immediately following the service.

St. Peter’s in Tunkhannock February happenings: Quiet music and meditations Wednesdays during Lent. Soup supper will precede service at 6:30 and services begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 to March 27. The Hollenback United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the following dates for the free soup suppers for the next four months. These events start off with a Bible study at 4:30 and the supper at 5 p.m. All welcome. The dates are as follows: Feb. 13, March 13, April 10.

The Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church will sponsor a “free” senior luncheon on Feb. 12 at noon. The menu will be pasta, salad and dessert. Yvonne Robinson will entertain with songs of love. A Tour of Italy dinner will be held at the Mehoopany United Methodist Church on Feb. 16, serving 4 p.m. Tossed salad, garlic bread, chicken parmesan, lasagna, spaghetti, linguini, fettuccini, traditional red sauce, alfredo, clam sauce and spicy seafood vodka sauce. The Blue Heron Art Gallery will debut a new show “Circle and Square” on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the chamber building at 20 Main Street in Wyalusing. This event will coincide with the GWCC’s chili cook-off. The country band, Southbound, will play from 4 to 8 p.m. and there will be free line dance lessons at 5 p.m. The cost to attend the entire event and vote on the chili is $10 and for those wishing to only taste the chili and vote the cost is $5. Luthers Mills United Methodist Church will host a free movie night on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30. Popcorn and refreshments available. The movie showing is “The Pirates, Band of Misfits.”

Eagle Day will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Endless Mountains Nature Center, Vosburg. Naturalist Rebecca Lesko will discuss the eagles of the Vosburg Neck and conduct a guided walk to the Susquehanna River.

PS Bank is holding a food drive to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Danville. Donations may be dropped off at the bank, Rt. 6, Wyalusing from Feb. 4 to Feb. 14. (Non-perishable items only.)

Recovery House Meetings — AA Group of Towanda meets

Compassionate Friends — of the Endless Mountains will hold their meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Endless Health Community Center, Montrose. TCF is open to all families who have lost a child from any cause at any age. There are no membership dues or fees of any kind. MOPS — Mothers of Preschoolers meet every first and third Wed. of the month from 9 to 11 a.m., September through May. Meetings are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 5 Court St., Towanda. AARP Meetings #4423 are held at the Wysox EMS Building

The 15th District of the American Legion will hold a meeting at Black Walnut Post #510 on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. Rep. Sandra Major and a Liquor Control Board representative will be on hand to explain the rules and regulations of the Small Games of Chance. Any interested person from any other organization that deals with the small games of chance or other interested individuals are invited to attend.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #534 — will meet on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Legion Post located on Route 6. All members are encouraged to attend. A small project for the veterans for Valentine’s Day will also be worked on. Dues are payable now.

Grief Support Group: Jan.- Dec. 2013. A bereavement support group meets monthly, the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. This group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program. The WVHS Class of 1998 will hold their 15th year class reunion on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Towanda Rod and Gun Club. Flyers will be mailed out to each classmate at a later date for reservations.

The Wyalusing Youth Football and Cheerleading Board has extended the 2013 nomination period up to the next board meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10 at the Wyalusing American Legion. All board positions are up for re-election, so nominations will be accepted for: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, athletic director, fundraising coordinator, cheerleading coordinator, football equipment manager and cheerleading equipment manager.
