Edie completed Mansfield University’s registered nurses program in 1946. In 1958 she moved with her family to Horseheads, NY. She worked at Tyler Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital, retiring in 1989. Edie was passionate about her patients and her nursing career.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding her neighbors and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, card making, playing mahjong and painting. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne Morrow (Mabel) of Sugar Run; sisterin law, Doris Madill (William) of Monroeton; three children, Edward M. of Palm Coast, FL, Scott A. of Horseheads, NY and Cindy Chilton (Michael) of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; four greatg randdaughters and many dear nieces and nephews.
A 1:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on March 9 at Countryside Presbyterian Church, Ocala, FL.
