Randy Paul Lutz, 50, of Overton Rd., New Albany, PA, passed away at Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA, on early Wednesday morning, Feb. 27, 2013. He was born in Towanda on Dec. 27, 1962, the son of Donna Brown Lutz of Mehoopany and the late William Lutz, Sr., who passed away on April 8, 2004.
He graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School in 1982 and worked for Daniels Construction upon graduation. He then went on to run a stone company for many years. Recently, he just returned from working at the Daytona 500 NASCAR Race. He always enjoyed building things and spending time with those he loved.
Perhaps Randy’s greatest gift was his generous nature. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking them to special places like Green Bay Packer games in Wisconsin and concerts. He was always out-going and made friends easily. Randy enjoyed life and relished living it to the fullest.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, the former Linda VanLuvanee Lutz, whom he married on Oct. 10, 1993; four stepchildren, Roxane Marino of Bensalem, Shawn Burkhart of Florida and Matthew and James VanLuvanee, both of New Albany; a step-grandchild, Xander Marino of Bensalem. He is also survived by his brother, William and Kathy Lutz of Wyalusing, PA; his sister, Denise and Tim DeLamarter, of South Auburn and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his father, William Lutz, Sr., he was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Florence Lutz and James and Elsie Brown.
A memorial service for Randy will be held at the South Auburn United Methodist Church in South Auburn, PA. at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, with his nephew, Zechariah Lutz, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA.
