A fire that broke out late Friday night destroyed a barn near the North Branch Township communities of Jenningsville and Lovelton in Wyoming County.

Firefighters at the scene said the barn was owned by Tim DeWolf.

It appeared that nothing was saved from the barn and farm machinery, including two tractors were destroyed. A firefighter at the scene said no cattle were in the barn.

The fire was fully involved when firefighters reached the scene. Mehoopany’s FWM fire company quickly called for mutual aid and firefighters from Laceyville, Wyalusing Wilmot Township, Meshoppen, Mildred and Dushore responded to the scene, while Wysox firefighters stood by at the Wyalusing Fire Hall and Rush Firefighters stood by at Laceyville.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. The barn was located along Oak Ridge Road. A cause has yet to be determined.
