Second Wyalusing Robbery Suspect Nabbed
Christopher Mark Walter, 48, Sugar Run, was picked up by police in Towanda on Thursday afternoon on an arrest warrant issued for his part in a November 2012 burglary in Wyalusing.
Walter (aka – Critter) was arraigned by Judge Fred Wheaton in Wysox Township on two counts of criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy and burglary.
After a garage at a State Street residence had been broken into on an unspecified date, residents in the vicinity identified Walter and Robert Nemeth of Wyalusing as the two men who walked away with numerous tools and a lawn mower.
Nemeth was arrested on March 5 at Judge Wheaton’s office, where he was appearing on charges of illegally operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock system as per a DUI agreement.
According to Laceyville Police Chief Scott Perry, who also covers Wyalusing with Officer Matt Chamberlain, Walter was taken into custody without incident at his parents’ house in Towanda.
After his arraignment in Wysox, Walter posted $2,500 bail and was released to the custody of his father.
