A Public Meeting to address and discuss the recent educational cuts at the Wyalusing Area School District will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 6 p.m. in the Wyalusing Fire Hall located on Second Street. The main purpose of this meeting is to explore options for preserving the current staffing of the music education department. However, a broader discussion on all recent proposed cuts to positions and programs is welcomed. All concerned citizens and parents of students in the Wyalusing Area School District are invited to attend and share ideas that may help the district to save money while maintaining a high-quality education that includes the arts. This meeting is part of a grassroots effort brought forth by concerned community members.
