IT’S IN THE BOOK
Luffing is a nautical term, concerning sailboats. It is when a sailboat heads too close into the wind and the wind hits the sail on both sides causing it to flap wildly or luff. In such a state the sail becomes very ineffective, the ship loses its forward motion and stability becomes like that of the double-minded man in the book of James 1:8.
