The First Liberty Bank will hold a chicken barbecue this Sunday, April 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at both their Laceyville and Wyalusing branches to raise money for their Relay for Life team. The Goodwill Fire Co. is assisting with the chicken and halves will be $6. You can purchase tickets at either bank location prior to Sunday. R17p

First Annual “Eric’s Ride” Motorcycle Run. This is a 25 mile poker run on June 22, starting at Ernie’s Restaurant and Lounge, Stevensville. Registration, 9:30 to 10:30. Cost is $20 driver, $10 rider, includes tshirt, ride and pork BBQ dinner. All proceeds going to Eric Latini’s Scholarship Fund. (Eric tragically died in a motorcycle accident.) The Second Sunday Vesper Service will be held on May 12 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, corner of Church and Chestnut Streets, Montrose. The Mothers’ Day Chorus of over 20 ladies will be special

guests. A simple supper will be served in the Parish House immediately following the service.

The Wyalusing High School Jazz band is pleased to be hosting their first annual Jazz Band Spaghetti Dinner. The event will be Saturday, May 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Wyalusing High School cafeteria. Live entertainment all night by WVHS jazz band and friends, a served pasta dinner and a large selection of homemade desserts. Donations will be accepted at the door and will benefit the Wyalusing High School Band program.

The Wyalusing Elementary Sixth Grade art show and Spring Concert this Thursday evening, April 25 at the Wyalusing High School. Concert starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium and the art show in the cafeteria

Seeking Area Artists: The Vintage Theater, in downtown Scranton is seeking area artists to take part in their upcoming “Works in Wood” visual exhibit. All pieces must be made entirely or at least primarily with wood. All those interested in exhibiting should submit images and descriptions of their works or proposed “works in progress” to info@scrantonsvintagetheater.com or by physical mail addressed to 326 Spruce Street, Scranton PA 18503. The submission deadline is May 20th 2013 (noon). Installation will occur June 3rd and 4th. The exhibit will run from June 7 – 30, 2013.

Grief Support Group: Jan.- Dec. 2013. A bereavement support group meets monthly, the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. This group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program. Rabies Clinics

A rabies clinic will be held at the Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department on Monday, May 6 from 5 to 6 p.m. Rabies vaccines administered by the Endless Mountains Veterinary Center, formerly the Rome Vet Clinic. $10 per animal. All pets must be in a carrier or on a leash.
