Danny J. Robinson, 62, of Tunkhannock, PA unexpectedly passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2013 at his place of business in Meshoppen.
Born on Nov. 29, 1950 in Meshoppen, he was the son of the late Ruby E. Teel Robinson and Jim R. Robinson of Tunkhannock.
He was a 1969 graduate of Tunkhannock High School.
Danny owned and operated Danny’s Tin Knockin, which is his auto body shop in Meshoppen. He had a deep passion for working with cars. He enjoyed building hot rods and years past he restored antique cars and trucks.
He was a member of the Rought Hall Post #10 Sons of the American Legion, as well as the Meshoppen Men’s Club. He was a former member of the Meshoppen Fire Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting antique toys.
Survivors include his father, Jim R. Robinson of Tunkhannock; his siblings, Regina Salsman of Meshoppen, Jay Robinson and his wife, Alice of Tunkhannock, Patsy Robinson of Springville and Brad Robinson and his wife, Lizz of Factoryville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby E. Teel Robinson on Nov. 18, 2010.
It was Danny’s wishes not to have any services at this time. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Vaughn Cemetery in Mehoopany.
Arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Meshoppen.
