The Annual Benefit Auction sponsored by North Rome Christian School will be held on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 10 a.m. at the former Five Star Building on Rt. 187N in Wysox. Auctioneer Howard Visscher will conduct the bidding on a large variety of new and used items. Also available throughout the day will be a Yard Sale, four large Silent Auction sessions, direct sales vendors, children’s activities, concession stands and bake sale. Benefits

First Annual “Eric’s Ride” Motorcycle Run. This is a 85 mile poker run on June 22, starting at Ernie’s Restaurant and Lounge, Stevensville. Registration, 9:30 to 10:30. Cost is $20 driver, $10 rider, includes tshirt, ride and pork BBQ dinner. All proceeds going to Eric Latini’s Scholarship Fund. (Eric tragically died in a motorcycle accident.) Beginning on June 2 at 6 p.m. and continuing on Sunday evenings throughout the summer, parts of the DVD series, “Christian Faith in American History” will be shown during each evening service at the Evergreen Christian Church, New Albany.

Clam Bakes

The Blue Heron Art Gallery, 20 Main St., Wyalusing announces a Call for Artists. Artists joining the gallery as a member for 2013-14 season will be able to join in the summer show for free. Grief Support Group: Jan.- Dec. 2013. A bereavement support group meets monthly, the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. This group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program. The New Albany Children’s Fund is sponsoring the Annual Charlie Wiles Fishing Derby on June 1, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Behrend-Wiles pond in New Albany. Community youngsters from four to 13 are invited to come out with their fishing poles, tackle boxes and bait. In addition to free fishing, the day will feature food and beverage, prize drawings and a casting contest.
