IT’S IN THE BOOK
I am glad that my father, Alva, married my mother, Catherine, and not just some guy down the street. They pushed through WWI, a long depression, lost their oldest son in WWII and their oldest daughter 20 years later. Never did my mother run home to her mother, nor mention divorce. Marriage is not for the timid nor the quitter. It is easy to throw in the towel, be a quitter, run.
