Camptown Community Church Vacation Bible School will be held on Aug. 12 to 16, 6 to 8:30 p.m. for ages three to grade six. Everyone is welcome and helpers are always needed.

The Farmhand Quartet will present the worship service with their bluegrass gospel music at the Herrickville United Methodist Church on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. A fellowship meal will follow.

The August Vesper Service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 276 Church St., Montrose.

Mt. Pisgah Happenings: View the stars and planets on Aug. 2. Two amateur astronomers will be at the park beginning at dusk with their telescopes. Compassionate Friends — of the Endless Mountains will hold their meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Endless Health Community Center, Montrose. MOPS — Mothers of Preschoolers meet every first and third Wed. of the month from 9 to 11 a.m., September through May. Meetings are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 5 Court St., Towanda. Grief Support Group: Jan.- Dec. 2013. A bereavement support group meets monthly, the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. This group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program.
