News items of timely interest gathered from the old files of The WYALUSING ROCKET and reprinted as they were in the Aug. 27, 1965 issue. Residents of Rummerfield were awakened from their predawn sleep on Monday by a train wreck. It involved a 98-car westbound Lehigh Valley freight train of which 16 cars were derailed. The wreck tore up about 3,000 ft. of ties and tracks.
