Robbery Suspect Seen on Store's Surveillance Video

Meshoppen Borough Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Russell Hill Pen-Mart in Washington Township.

At 9:50 p.m., a white male 18 to 22 years of age wearing a gray hoodie, black ski mask, black pants and white sneakers entered the Pen-Mart and looked behind the counter. The male left and then re-entered the store wearing the ski mask, jumped over the counter and grabbed a moneybox. He then jumped back over the counter and ran out the door.

A female clerk chased the male into a field. The male then turned and ran to a church parking lot where a female driving a tan Buick drove in at a high rate of speed and the male jumped in and they sped off with an undetermined amount of money.

A partial registration (GHE837) was obtained.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call Meshoppen Police at 570-836-6161.
