Alice Bundle

Mrs. Alice Marie Kisner Bundle, 68, of New Albany, PA, passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at her home with her loving family at her side.

Born on June 12, 1945 in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late George F. Kisner and Catherine E. Burgett Kisner. Alice graduated from Wyalusing Valley Jr./Sr. High School. On May 14, 1983, she married Michael Bundle at St. Paul’s Church of Christ, Overton, having recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

Alice worked for the Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory in Mildred, and when the plant shut down, she then went to work at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte. She also worked for Black’s Plumbing and then worked for the Wyalusing Valley Personal Care Home up until her health no longer permitted.

She loved to crochet and enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets. She especially enjoyed camping. She always looked forward to taking annual camping trips to Penn’s Cave. Alice and Mike also enjoyed a three-month cross country camping trip to the state of Washington.

Surviving are her spouse, Michael Bundle at home; daughters, Carissa (Patrick) Kelley of Dushore, Naomi (William) Ryan of Dushore; stepchildren, Michael, Jr. (Mary) Bundle of Richland, NC, Donna Nye (Lloyd Bailey) of West Burlington, Patricia (Maurice) Cox of York, John Bundle of Lancaster; brothers, G. Duane (Madeline) Kisner of Dushore, Laverne (Catherine) Kisner of Dushore. Alice is also survived by several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

As per Alice’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Health Cancer Center, c/o Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1100 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA, 17701 or to the CancerCare National Office, 275 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY, 10001 in loving memory of Alice Bundle.

Arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore.
