Heat Shortens Short Invitational
Several area collegiate cross country runners competed in the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University. With temperatures in the 80s and high humidity, a large number of athletes suffered from heat-related ailments during the races, forcing organizers to call a halt to the meet before the running of the women’s White race and the entire high school portion of the program.
