Todd J. Woinovick, 51, of 1982 Mercur Hill Road, Wysox, PA, passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lansdale, PA, on Nov. 11, 1961, he was the beloved son of Ernest “Ernie” Woinovick and Renee Werner Woinovick. He was a graduate of North Penn High School Class of 1980. For several years, Todd was employed as a machinist for J&K Manufacturing in North Wales and by B & G Manufacturing in Hatfield. He later resided and worked in Anchorage, Alaska for five years before returning home. He was formerly employed by Whipple’s Lumber Company in Laceyville, Wyalusing Beverage and by Staff Management at Procter & Gamble in Meehoopany. Todd had received his CDL license and was looking forward to driving truck when his health began to decline. He loved spending time with his family and pets, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sayre.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted parents, Ernest and Renee Woinovick of Wysox; sister,
Dawn Johnson of Towanda; nieces, Nicole (Fred) Cruz of Yonkers, NY, Grace Johnson of Towanda; nephew, Oscar Johnson of Alaska; aunt, Beverly (Charles) Vasey of Windham; uncles, Ronald (Sharon) Werner of Belleville, NY, Jerry (Nancy) Werner of Reading and Robert (Debbie) Werner of Centre Hall; special cousins,
Kaitlyn, Kyler, Mia, Stephanie and Michelle; his canine companions, Libby and Maddie and feline companion, Callie.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, South Hopkins St., Sayre, with Rev. Lexa Leipe, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Wysox Cemetery, Wysox.
