Manuel Anthoney Mirailh of Lake Ariel, PA died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 following an automobile accident.
Born in Fort Campbell, KY, he was the son of Manuel A. and Janet Mirailh of Florida.
He is survived by his wife, the former Karen Geiger; his daughter, Nicole A. Mirailh of Lake Ariel; son, Manuel Aaron Mirailh of South Canaan; sisters, Adrienne DiBernard of New Jersey; Melody Hall of Texas; Holly Cauley of Virginia and brother, Keith Mirailh of New Jersey. He was also the proud grandfather of three, Vianna Rose, Michael and Ryane and uncle to several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Ross Mirailh and a brother, Christopher Mirailh.
Manny operated KAG Associates, a supportive employment service. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a member of the Pennsylvania American Legion and founding member of Staff Sgt. Paul A. Sweeney Memorial Post 0807 and a Past District Commander and present officer of the 15th District American Legion. He was also a member of the American Legion National Legislative Committee, was very active with the Sons of the American Legion and was a director-at-large for the Pennsylvania Housing for Homeless Veterans Corp. Above all, he was a man dedicated to God and country and a devoted family man.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel. Interment with military honors in Simon Cemetery, South Canaan.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
