When Ethelyn was a child, she went to school in the kid bus, which was a horse-drawn wagon, a sleigh in winter, that was driven by her father. Most of her life, Ethelyn was a homemaker, however she did work at Bendix, Banner Slipper Company, the South Montrose hangar factory and the Montrose Department Store. Ethelyn was a very adaptable person. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, she taught her daughters how to sew and garden, and she made “ugly quilts” and knitted scarves for the homeless at her church. She also served as a volunteer at the Lawton Senior Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Elk Lake Community Church with Rev. Charles Bishop and Rev. Richard Spering officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Dimock Cemetery, Dimock.
