Monthly Breakfast at the Herrickville Fire Hall, Sunday, Dec. 29, 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. All you can eat: pancakes, French toast, ham, sausage, eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee, orange juice, real maple syrup and sugar-free syrup. Christmas Events

The cantata, “Bethlehem’s Child” will be presented on Dec. 15 by the combined choirs of the Trinity Charge of the United Methodist Church (Monroeton, New Albany and Ulster) at 10 a.m. in the Monroeton church.

New Albany Area Children’s Fund will host a Christmas party on Dec. 14 from noon to 3 p.m. at the New Albany Social Hall. All children from preschool to sixth grade are welcome to attend and enjoy a funfilled afternoon with music, games, gifts, Santa and horse and wagon rides.

Wysox Community Christmas Party will be held 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 at Wysox EMS Building, Rt. 187, Wysox across tracks on Rt. 187. Santa expected. Refreshments - a good time for all. Sponsored by Wysox EMS.

Elk Lake Music Department Holiday Music Concert dates are: Fifth and Sixth Grade Concert, Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.

The 13th annual free Community Christmas dinner will be served on Wednesday, Dec. 25 at noon at the Montrose Square Community Room, sponsored by Endless Mountains Health Systems physicians, employees, volunteers of EMHS and the community. Everyone is invited – no reservations are necessary.

Children’s Christmas Party, sponsored by New Albany VFW Post 384 on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. Open to public for children, age 10 and under. Adult Christmas Party, members and guests, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. Bring dish to pass, meat and beverage provided. S50c/R50c

The annual children’s Christmas party at the Stevensville Community Hall is set for Dec. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. Activities will include a Christmas craft, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a game or two and refreshments. For more information, call Eileen, 570-744-1918 or Tammy, 570-744-2126.

A Live Nativity - presented by the Rome Presbyterian, Rome United Methodist and North Orwell Union Churches - will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 21, 5 to 7 p.m. The live Nativity is set up on the Rome Fire Co. grounds. Donations will be accepted and will benefit Grace Connection.

The public is invited to a Candlelight Christmas Service on Sunday, December 15 at the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church, located on Church Street, beginning at 5 p.m. All denominations welcome.

Members, spouses and guests are invited to attend the annual Camptown Civic Club Christmas party at the home of Gerri and Bob Kellerman at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17. Anyone interested in participating in the gift exchange, should bring a wrapped gift (cost around $10). Donna Hepp is in charge of the hostess committee, and all members are asked to bring a refreshment item as well.

Hometown Holiday Party, New Year’s Eve, sponsored by the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) and held at 20 Main St., Wyalusing. Doors open at 6:30 with a social time including assorted appetizers. Then a full course dinner (chicken mozzarella/roast beef) is served by “Catering the Wright Way” followed by a great variety of desserts. Then a fun-filled evening of music, dancing and laughter led by the fabulous DJ “All About Entertainment.” The evening wraps up shortly after the ball drops. Tickets are $35/person. It is BYOB and several mixers and coffee are provide. Tickets available at the Chamber office (570-746-4922) until Dec. 20 unless sold out earlier.

Christmas Eve-Eve service at the Hollenback United Methodist Church on Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Mercy’s Well, a national gospel group will appear at the Herrickville United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. A covered dish meal will follow at the fire hall. No charge. A love offering will be taken.

S.O.S. Al-Anon — Family Group will meet on Fridays at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hopkins Street, Sayre.

Recovery House Meetings — AA Group of Towanda meets Mon.-Fri., noon; Mon., Thurs., Fri., Sat., 8 p.m., Sun., 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. NA meetings are held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Speaker meeting every first Sunday, 8 p.m. All meetings at 205 Main St., Towanda (please use rear, lower entrance).

Compassionate Friends — of the Endless Mountains will hold their meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Endless Health Community Center, Montrose. TCF is open to all families who have lost a child from any cause at any age. There are no membership dues or fees of any kind. MOPS — Mothers of Preschoolers meet every first and third Wed. of the month from 9 to 11 a.m., September through May. Meetings are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 5 Court St., Towanda. The Wyalusing Senior Citizens will meet at the fire hall on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 11:30. Bring a dish to pass and place setting. All persons 55 and over are welcome. We’ll have the hot coffee and tea waiting. Visit and meet a friend or neighbor. Nancy Bendinsky will be the guest entertainment.

The December monthly bereavement support group held in the library at Memorial Hospital in Towanda has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Dec. 18, 3 to 4:30 p.m. For 2014, the monthly bereavement support group will continue to be held the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 570-268-2233.

Notice

The Towanda Area Christian Outreach Food Pantry (T.A.C.O.) will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 through Thurs., Jan. 2 for the Christmas/ New Year’s holiday. Pantry will reopen Friday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. T.A.C.O. serves the Towanda, Wyalusing and Northeast Bradford school districts and is open from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sports

The WVHS Wrestling High School Booster Club will meet on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. in Coach Haley’s room at the high school.
