One Teacher’s Passing Stirs School Day Memories
The passing of Jane Carey on Jan. 9 was significant for me, not only because she was a friend and long-time neighbor, but because she was a teacher who made a difference in my life. I have vivid memories of Mrs. Carey’s fourth-grade class in Camptown and how she was really the first to see me as a student with potential. Or so it seemed.
