Church

The Skyline Boys - a Southern Gospel singing group will be performing in the North Orwell Union Church, North Orwell, PA. on Feb. 2 at 10:00 a.m. This service is being hosted by the Rome United Methodist Church and the North Orwell Union Church. A free will offering will be taken and merchandise will be available for purchase. A potluck luncheon will be held at the North Orwell Community Hall after the service. All are invited to hear this presentation of the gospel and attend the luncheon.

The February Vesper Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, corner of Church and Chestnut Streets, Montrose at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. “Evensong” will be presented by members of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. A simple meal will be served in the Parish House following the ecumenical service.

Memorial Hospital’s monthly bereavement support group schedule for 2014 will continue to meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m., located in the library on the lower level of Memorial Hospital, Towanda. The group follows the book by James Miller, “What Will Help Me?” and other authors’ writings related to grief and loss. The support group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program. The Towanda Area Christian Outreach Food Pantry (T.A.C.O.) will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 for Presidents’ Day holiday. Pantry will reopen Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. T.A.C.O. serves the Towanda, Wyalusing and Northeast Bradford school districts and is open from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
