Louise Arnold

Louise (Proof) Arnold, 68, of East Rush, PA passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born April 19, 1945 in Sayre, she was the daughter of the late William U. and Ruth A. (Northrop) Proof.

After graduating from Wyalusing High School, Class of 1963 in the top 10 of her class, she worked for Russell Pratt and Peg Cobb Insurance Agencies. Later on she was employed by Claverack Electric in Wysox as an administrator for 30 years.

She was a long-time member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Louise volunteered for the American Red Cross during floods, traveling to New Orleans and Florida to aid people in need. She and her significant other, Dick loved to travel, visiting all 50 states. For 35 years she lived in East Rush and the past several winters, she and Dick vacationed in Venice, Florida during the winter months. Louise was a licensed cosmetologist until the age of 65. She took great pride in her home in East Rush; her yard was kept up to perfection.

Survivors include her significant other of 35 years, Dick G. Richards of East Rush; her identical twin sister, Lucille P. Donovan of Troy; brother and sisterin law, Richard & Darlene Proof of Macomb, MI; niece and her spouse, Lisa and David Merglewski of Sterling Heights, MI; grandniece and grandnephews and their spouses, Bridgette and Michael Allen of Clawson, MI, Nicholas and Brittany Cluckey of Warren, MI, Davey Merglewski of Sterling Heights, MI; greatgreatnephews, Michael Allen, III and Hunter Cluckey; Dick’s children and their families, Beth and Al Peach and their sons, A.J. and Derek of Peabody, MA, Dick, Jr. and Lisa Richards and their sons, Colby and Harrison of Spring, TX, Brian and Denise Richards of Danvers, MA; her significant other’s late son’s family, Kristina and Tony Agganis and their son, Lynn, MA, Tiffany Richards of Peabody, MA and numerous cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her significant other’s son, Daniel Richards in October 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA.

A private interment will be held in Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide all flowers.
