Edward Felter, IV
Ed was born in Nuremberg, West Germany, on Jan. 27, 1970, the son of the late Edward E. Felter, III, who passed away on Feb. 25, 1997 and Sandra Decker Felter of Standing Stone Township, while his father was stationed there, serving his country with the U.S. Army.
He was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the Class of 1987. Ed worked as a forklift operator for Kane Warehouse in Tunkhannock and later in distribution for the Wyalusing Rocket-Courier until ill health forced his retirement.
Ed was a member of the Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the Wilmot Volunteer Fire Company for many years. He enjoyed firing, buying and selling guns.
Survivors include his daughter, Breanna Marie Felter of Wilmot Township; his mother, with whom he lived, Sandra Felter; his brother, Hayden E. Felter and his wife, Lisa of Wyalusing; his two nieces, Hailey and Kendyl Felter of Wyalusing; his daughter’s mother, Laurie Bogart Murray of Wilmot Township; his special uncle and aunt, Keith and Rosie Felter of Rome, as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron “Norm” D. Felter (Nov. 6, 2005); his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Martha Decker and paternal grandparents, Edward, Jr. and Dorothy Felter.
A memorial service was held on Monday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at the Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department with Rev. Barry Ballard of the Wyalusing Presbyterian
Interment followed in the Wyalusing Cemetery. Family and friends called at the fire hall from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
