Dennis, Very well said

Dennis, Very well said ! Sadly I fear your letter will not be read by many of the parents of students that could / should benefit by your message. While there are many homes with parents that encourage or insist their children get the best education offered to them in school there are far too many that do not. I have stated many times to young people that their public school education is the ONLY free education they can get. After High School additional education will cost them dearly. The same can be said for a lack of education, this will cost them dearly as well. I feel each grade level in Jr High and High School should have a large sign in their home room that states "FREE to you only, A good education, limited time offer, Inquire within" or "You Only have xx years of FREE education remaining". Some students do not need this, some it will not make much difference however quite a few students will get the message and respond to it. Next, work with the students that show no response to this effort. Lets find out why. I feel there is no more important word than Why or Why not. Possibly some of these students will respond to a Career & Technology program. Our public schools have access to some very good Career % Tech programs. They have something there for most any student plus quite a few adult courses available. When we can get through to the students "Why" they need an education everyone will benefit. Something to think about. Sincerely, Chuck Place
