Robert Epler Robert Epler Robert H. Epler, 75, of New Albany, PA, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Towanda.

Born Dec. 13, 1938, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Mary Bleiler Epler. He graduated from the Wyalusing Valley High School, a member of the Class of 1957. He married the former Judy Neuber on Nov. 17, 1962, and they recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.

Bob was a life-long dairy farmer in New Albany and also served as an Albany Township Supervisor. He liked to race gocarts and attend tractor pulls. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family and also family reunions and square dances. He really enjoyed fishing and being with his family. He also made maple syrup for Epler Farms for over 22 years.

He was a member of Zion Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Dushore. He was a member of the National Supervisors Association of PA.

Surviving are his spouse, Judy at home; son, Scott Robert (Rebecca) Epler of New Albany; daughter, Penny Lynn Epler- Carl of Clarksville, NY; brothers, Lawrence Ray Epler and Cindy Kobbe of New Albany; brother in-law, Burton (Pat) Neuber of Wyalusing; motherin law, Arlene Neuber of Wyalusing; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Kaitlyn and Kristie Epler and Michaela Carl, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Nina Joyce Epler Allen in 1970.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at Zion Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church with his pastor, the Rev. Robert G. Kaltenbaugh, officiating. Inter-ment will be in Bradford County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore,on Thursday, May 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. and at Zion Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family will provide the flowers and asks that donations be made in his memory to the New Albany Fire Co., PO Box 167, New Albany, PA 18833 or Zion Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, PO Box 460, Dushore, PA 18614.
